Mooli Paratha


This is authentic punjabi paratha with can be eaten any time of day.

Preparation Time: 15 mins                        Cooking Time: 10 mins

Serve: 4




Ingredients
For stuffing:
  • 3 Mooli (Radish)

  • Salt To Taste

  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp Corainder powder

  • 1/2 tsp Amchoor (Dry Mango powder)

  • 2 Green chillies, chopped finely

  • 2 tbsp Corainder leaves
For dough:
  • 2 cups Wheat flour

  • Salt To taste

  • Water As needed

  • Oil for shallow frying
Method
  1. Sieve the wheat flour and salt. Add water and knead to stiff dough. Cover and keep aside.

  2. Peel and grate the radish( mooli) . Add little salt. Leave it for 10 mins.

  3. Squeeze and drain all the liquid from shredded raddish.

  4. Add little salt, red chilli powder, green chillies, amchoor, corainder leaves and mix well.

  5. Take some dough and roll into small roti of abt 3" diameter, put 2tsp of stuffing and cover all the sides.

  6. Roll again into round parantha of about 6-7" diameter.

  7. Heat a tava and cook the mooli ka paratha from one side. Turn it and spread  some oil over the paratha.

  8. Turn again and spread little oil and cook again till parathas turn little golden brown.

  9. Serve hot mooli paratha with raita, green chutney or pickle.
