Methi Paratha


Healthy and yummy all in one neat little package!  Serve Methi Parathas with chilled yogurt and a pickle of your choice.

Preparation Time: 15 mins       Cooking Time: 10 mins

Serve: 4-5




Ingredients:
  • 2 cups chopped fenugreek(methi) leaves

  • 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)

  • 3 cups wheat flour

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp Amchoor (dry mango powder)

  • 1/2 tsp jeera( cumin seed)

  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder

  • 2 tbl spn each oil and ghee

  • Salt
Method:

  1. Cut methi leaves into small pieces. Keep for 5-10mins.

  2. Sieve wheat flour and besan together with little salt.

  3. Add chopped methi to flour and add chilli powder, amchoor, jeera, coriander powdera and turmeric powder.

  4. Knead into a soft dough and let it rest for 10 mins.

  5. Roll out a little dough into 6-7" diameter circles.

  6. Heat Griddle or tawa and put paratha onto it.

  7. When little bubble appears reverse it and  spread little oil on top.

  8. turn and apply little oil and cook till golden brown.

  9. Serve Hot with Mixed pickle and yogurt.
