Eggless Sponge Cake


Eggless cakes are a treat for Vegetarian people as it is very difficult to find eggless cake on all the bakeries around the world. It is also base of many more type of desserts.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes                                 Baking Tiome: 30 minutes



Ingredients:
  • 1-1/2 cup flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup cold water

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp vinegar
Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.

  2. Grease a small baking pan (8×12) with vegetable  Oil or little butter.

  3. Combine dry ingredients  in a bowl.

  4. Mix all the wet ingredients.

  5. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients leaving out the vinegar until the final step.

  6. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring together  until well combined. Stir in the vinegar rapidly.

  7. Pour batter into greased pan and  place pan into preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 min.

  8. Check with a toothpick or knife in center if done.

  9. Take out and cool completely before putting desired Icing.
Tips:

For making chocolate Sponge cake add 1/3 cup of cocoa powder to dry ingredients and rest remains same.
