Badam Halwa


Badam Halwa is a very popular recipe. Learn how to make/prepare Badam Halwa by following this easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almonds

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup of ghee

  • 1/2 tsp of saffron

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 3 cups of water



Method

  1. Boil 2 cups of water and add badam to it.

  2. Let it boil for 5 mins then allow it to cool.

  3. Peel off the skin by pressing the badam.

  4. Grind it by adding milk.

  5. Add milk little by little so that u get a good paste.

  6. It should neither be too watery nor too hard.

  7. Soak saffron in 1/2 cup of hot water for 10 minutes.

  8. Now mix one cup of sugar to 1/2 cup water.

  9. Add the saffron water to it.

  10. Allow the mixture to boil , keep stirring till you get a single thread consistency.

  11. Now add the Almond paste keep stirring so that no lumps are formed.

  12. Add little ghee from time to time.

  13. Continue the process at least 20 minutes or until the mixture thickens.

  14. Remove from the heat.

  15. Take into a serving bowl.

  16. Almond Halwa is ready to serve.
